Josh - May 2015

Josh - former resident in bed #25

Jesus was in church one Sabbath and a sick man was in the congregation. The Pharisees wondered if He would choose to heal this man even though against Jewish law. His choice was simple; heal or do nothing. Jesus responded to his critics, “Is it lawful to do what is good or to do what is evil, to save life or to destroy it?” In this question, Jesus states clearly that his choice to do nothing would be a choice to “do evil” or “to destroy.” Doing nothing may seem benign, but it’s destructive when something needs to be done. Your choice to do something is “doing good” and “saving life.” Josh is our testimony of the month and he would tell you so.

“The last five years of my life have been really, really tough. I’ve made a lot of mistakes. My addiction affected my relationship life and got me into trouble with the law. I gave up on everything and came to Watered Gardens. For the first time in my life, people wanted me in a good way. They didn’t want something from me. They wanted something for me. Now, I’m working and saving money. My dream is to live on my own, pay my own way and to help people the way I have been helped.”
