In the book of 1 Chronicles, there’s a rather obscure verse that fits our testimony this month. In chapter 5, verse 20, the Israelites “cried out to God” and He “answered their prayers because they trusted Him.” There are times when the odds are stacked against us and we cry out to God, trusting that He will deliver us from a situation we can’t escape.
Molly was there. After three days of living in her car with her 8-month-old, Tobias, and with nowhere to go, she cried out to God for an answer.
“I asked God for help—and got a text from Edie (director at Washington Family Hope Center) that same night. This place really has been an answer to prayer. A refuge. All my needs are met, and when I feel overwhelmed or hopeless, there’s always someone to talk to and to help.”
I’m thankful we serve a God who hears the cries of His people. We’re blessed to be developing a relationship with Molly, Tobias, and several other families at Washington Family Hope Center. Thank you for your efforts. Your support is part of the “answer to prayer” for Molly and more than a thousand others we served this year. Again, thank you, and I pray you’re blessed abundantly as we head into this fall season!
