Randi M.- July 2025

Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distress. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death and broke their chains in pieces. —Psalm 107:13-14

Dear Ministry Partner,

The paths to homelessness are many. For Randi and her 7-year-old daughter, it was fear and a search for safety that compelled them to leave their apartment suddenly and never return. They needed more than a safe house, though. Randi needed rescued from darkness and for God to break the chains that bound her. Her cries to God and search for freedom brought her to our ministry for moms and kids, Washington Family Hope Center.

"I didn’t know my life could change so much. I was so full of fear and, honestly, pretty hard to deal with when my daughter and I first came into shelter. But the staff loved us through it, and created a safe, Christ-centered place where I learned to walk with the Lord in a very real way.

I’ve also made two of the very best friends I’ve ever had. I wasn’t sure I’d ever have good, normal friendships again after what I’d gone through. I can’t tell you how much they mean to me. I also want anyone who reads this to know that all the love and resources poured into this place never go unappreciated or unutilized. I—and many other moms and kids—wouldn’t be who we are today without this place.”

If you had met Randi as she first entered the doors of our mission, you wouldn’t recognize her today. Her countenance is radically different, a sign of the transformation taking place on the inside. Thank you for your support. I hope you’re excited to be a part of God’s amazing ability to reach people like Randi in the darkest, most hopeless places and rescue them from their troubles.
