Serenity - October 2025

Watered Gardens 2024/25 annual report just went to print. You can access the online version at our homepage, wateredgardens.org. You'll be encouraged to read about 126 people who were helped out of homelessness, 178 who went to work, and 18 who were reconnected to their families. It's an encouraging report full of numbers but only because of the careful attention and collaborative effort that goes into every individual win. Serenity is a good example. She's never known long-term stability having turned to drinking and drugs at a young age as she attempted to cope with abuse she had suffered. She found herself in need of shelter for her and her 3-year-old daughter.

“I don’t know what I would’ve done if this place wasn’t here. The staff, the volunteers, and the other moms have provided such an encouraging community to me. I’ve never experienced such genuine love and generosity. Since being here, I have earned my hiset and have become a certified nail technician with a growing list of clients. I’m so thankful to God, and I’m excited knowing I’ll be able to provide for my daughter.”

Behind every number in this year's annual report, there's a unique person like Serenity, some of whom felt like they were losing everything.
